Citrus County Chronicle shows its LGBT bias again

By John Labriola -

In its latest biased article on the controversy over the annual monthlong LGBT library displays celebrating "Gay Pride Month," the Citrus County Chronicle on Saturday reported that last June's displays were "located away from the children's section," leaving readers with the false impression that they were out of children's sight, when in fact they were located in the libraries' entranceways. Since the county's public libraries have only one entrance, the Chronicle was either deliberately misleading its readers or it actually believes children walk into the library with their eyes closed and only open them when they reach the Doctor Seuss collection. Chronicle reporter Michael Bates also chose to ignore the fact that minors have access to the entire library and are not confined to a particular area when working on research projects or book reports.

It was the latest in a long series of Chronicle articles and editorials belittling residents for objecting to having their tax dollars used to target children with LGBT propaganda. The arrogant and deceitful liberals who run the failing newspaper have obvious contempt for the county's conservative Christian majority, so it may be time to cancel our Chronicle subscriptions as we continue doing what they hate by remaining engaged in the democratic process.

We can start by showing up at the Library Advisory Board (LAB) hearing on LGBT displays this Tuesday, March 22 at 8 a.m. in the Lecanto Government Building, 3600 W Sovereign Path, Room 166, Lecanto, FL 34461.

LAB members will be considering a request to cancel the LGBT displays, as many residents have been demanding since last June. The request was filed  shortly after county commissioners narrowly decided on Jan. 4 to punt the issue to the unelected LAB.

If the LAB votes to continue the monthlong promotion of LGBT propaganda in the libraries, the ball will be back in the county commission's court as they consider applications for the LAB next month. Commissioners will then have the opportunity to replace LAB members who share the Chronicle's contempt for the voters with people who actually respect the community's values instead of spitting on them.
