J6 Rally for Jeremy Brown this Saturday

Members of the Citrus County Trump Club will hold a J6 Rally for Jeremy Brown this Saturday, Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. at the RaceTrac located at 3310 W Gulf to Lake Hwy, Lecanto, FL 34461. 

Following an hour of waving of signs and flags, the rally will move to the Citrus County Detention Facility at 2604 W Woodland Ridge Dr in Lecanto, where Brown is being held as a political prisoner. 

Brown, a retired Army Green Beret, was arrested in 2021 after blowing the whistle on the FBI's attempts to recruit him as an undercover operative ahead of the Jan. 6, 2021 "Stop the Steal" rally on the U.S. Capitol, which he attended as part of a security detail for rally speakers.

Rep. Massullo responds to accusations against his medical practice

Ralph Massullo on Friday responded to accusations against him and his medical practice that were made in an article published in last week's edition of the Citrus Eagle , the predecessor to this publication.  The article, authored by Billy Cayce, reported that Massullo and his partner Dr. William Welton III of Suncoast Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center, which has offices in Lecanto and Ocala, paid the federal government a $2.3 million fine in December 2020 for Medicare fraud. The article was based on an  announcement posted on the website of the U.S. Office of Inspector General (OIG) , which reported that the $2.3 million payment stemmed from falsified patient records and claims prepared by a Suncoast shareholder employee, who allegedly upcoded procedures and overstated the size and type of excised lesions, leading to unnecessary follow-up procedures.  Massullo, who contacted the  Citrus Eagle  three days after the article was published, said he orde
