Commission to discuss Biden's border treason

By John Labriola - Biden's border treason will be the hot topic at this Tuesday's Citrus County Commission meeting.

Commissioner Diana Finegan will be presenting a resolution urging Gov. Ron DeSantis to call out the state militia "to repel the invasion that is occurring on our state by way of the United States southern border."

The resolution strongly condemns the Biden administration's open border policies, which have led to more than 8 million illegals pouring across the U.S. southern border since January 2021 as part of the Democrat Party's project to replace America's current population with hordes of welfare-dependent Third World invaders viewed as likely future Democrat voters.

"The border of the United States and the State of Florida are under siege by invaders with the complicity of the current administration and the federal government who have ordered all federal and military assets to stand down," the resolution states, adding that the U.S. Constitution authorizes states to act to stop a foreign invasion when the federal government fails to fulfill its constitutional duty to protect the nation's borders.

The measure also calls on Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody to sue the Biden administration to recoup any costs incurred by the state and urges County Sheriff Mike Prendergast and the Florida Legislature to do everything in their power to fight illegal immigration.

The resolution arose out of the Sept. 18 meeting of the Citrus County Republican Executive Committee (REC) and mirrors language adopted in February by the Lee County REC. Finegan, who was at last month's REC meeting and is the commission's only REC member, was asked by members to put it on the commission's agenda and she agreed.

Upon taking office, Biden immediately dismantled President Trump's immigration restrictions by halting construction of the border wall, easing asylum claim admissions, reinstating "catch and release" at the border, halting all deportations including for assaults and DUIs, lifting the ban on immigration from terrorist countries, reestablishing Obama's administrative amnesty for "DACA" recipients, ending COVID-era health-related border entry restrictions, expanding foreign worker visas, and dramatically increasing refugee admissions — all while busing, flying and housing millions of illegal aliens all across the country at taxpayers' expense.

The Democrat-orchestrated border invasion has fueled a nationwide crime wave, stretched state and local resources to the breaking point in many parts of the country and facilitated a huge surge in fentanyl and child sex trafficking.

The county commission meeting will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the Citrus County Courthouse, 110 N. Apopka Ave., Inverness, FL 34450. The public will have the opportunity to speak at the beginning of the meeting following the approval of the consent agenda.
