Pregnancy center walk draws record crowd

By John Labriola - The Citrus Pregnancy Center's annual Great Stork Race drew a record crowd on Saturday as over 200 residents of all ages walked to raise money for the life-saving Christian ministry.

The 2-mile walk along the Withlacoochee State Trail from the Depot Pavilion in Inverness raised more than $57,000, surpassing the center's goal of $54,000.

"It's a good day!" exclaimed Barb Gosa, the center's director.

Founded in 1999, the Citrus Pregnancy Center, which has two locations at 3185 E Thomas St. in Inverness and 726 NE Hwy 19 in Crystal River, offers free and confidential pregnancy tests and sonograms, a "baby boutique," parenting education, adoption support and other resources to help women choose life for their unborn babies while sharing the Gospel with them.

For more information about the center, call (352) 341-5176.
