The march for life goes on

By John Labriola - The overturning of Roe v. Wade last year has not dampened local pro-life advocates' drive to continue the fight against abortion, as evidenced by the large crowd that turned out for the annual pro-life rally on Monday in front of the Old Courthouse in downtown Inverness to mark the 50th anniversary of the tragic 1973 ruling and remember the lives of the more than 64 million babies killed by abortion in America.

More than 100 residents turned out to pray, march and listen to pro-life speakers discuss the ongoing battle to end abortion, which has shifted from the federal judiciary to the states, most of which continue to allow abortion.

Attendees also signed petitions urging our local elected officials to make Inverness and Citrus County a Sanctuary for the Unborn.

The petition is available online, and all pro-life residents are encouraged to sign it by clicking HERE.
