Heroes Walk for Life raises $27,000 for pregnancy center
By John Labriola - About 150 residents participated in the Pregnancy & Family Life Center of Citrus County's Heroes Walk for Life at Liberty Park on Saturday. The event, held annually in October in honor of Respect Life Month, raised about $27,000 for the center through the walk and ensuing bake sale.
The PFLC, founded in 1983 and located in downtown Inverness, provides free and confidential pregnancy tests and ultrasounds, parenting education, maternity and infant clothing, adoption services and other resources to enable every woman to carry her baby to term.
If you couldn't attend the walk but would like to help the PFLC continue to fulfill its mission, you can donate online at https://partnersofpflc.org/donate, or call (352) 344-3030 to learn more.
