Two Citrus County Commission candidates deny 2020 presidential election was stolen

By John Labriola - The legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election was a bone of contention at a forum last week for Republican candidates for the Citrus County Commission.

District 2 candidates Diana Finegan and Stacey Worthington and District 4 candidates Winn Webb and Rebecca Bays spent two hours answering questions on issues ranging from the sheriff's budget to road repairs at the candidates forum, which was hosted by the Republican Liberty Caucus in Homosassa.

But it was a question about the Trump-Biden contest that drew the sharpest contrast.

All four candidates were asked if the election was stolen. Finegan and Webb said yes, while Worthington and Bays said no. (See video HERE.)

"When you see all the people that were rallying behind Trump, and then you see the complete opposite around Biden, in my heart of hearts I would say yes," Finegan said.

Webb agreed. "Yes, yes and yes," he said.

Worthington and Bays admitted that irregularities took place, but when asked point-blank if the election was stolen both said "No."

Tracy Edgmon of Defend Florida, a grassroots organization fighting for election integrity, says the evidence that the 2020 election was stolen is overwhelming and irrefutable, and any candidate denying that should not be trusted with the people's vote.

"I know for a fact that it was stolen, and the evidence proves it. The excuse politicians have given us to continue the propaganda is that it's 'never been proven in court,' but what they leave out is that all those court cases were shut down, so no evidence has ever been presented before a court," Edgmon said. "Any candidate who ignores the evidence that's out there and doesn't even try to educate themselves and just toes the line of their handlers should not be taken seriously. If they're not doing their due diligence, why should the voters trust them to not betray our trust at the local level?"

Edgmon is hosting a special presentation on election fraud, problems with the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC) system, and how to safeguard this year's elections. The presentation will take place on Thursday, May 26 at 6 p.m. at the Citrus Realtors Association Building, 714 S. Scarboro Ave., Lecanto, FL 34461. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
